As a producer who was inspired greatly by Au5, I can say that I can definitely hear some Au5 influence in this. By the start, I love the dorian chords in this, this is so special! The melody and the saws are so good, however, the drop lacks sound variety, as all the growls are one same synth. 1:45 is eargasm, I can't tell how many drum samples are in there lol. Ohh riddim second drop! I love the outro with all its fx and harmony. Honestly the mixing and mastering is gold, the melody is fire, just needs a bit more diversity in the drops!
Nice work!

skybreakedm responds:

Thank you for the feedback! :) Glad you enjoyed, and I hope I can impress you with more synth diversity in my coming releases ;0

Holy shit this is fire! The bass is so loud shit! Withoutmyarmor certainly has a super nice voice and can hit some goddamn high notes!

POSiTIV3 responds:

THX...I think he is the most talented vocalist I've seen on looperman which is actually full of other of his acapellas and other possibly talented vocalists' work and I forgot to mention that website has also a lot of free samples <3

Shit Im late to the party... Damn frontpage! Im so fucking happy for you! You fucking deserve that!
Alright lets jump to the review
Its the beginning and Im loving the pad. Like in every of your song theres a reverby pad in the background that gives an atmosphere idk how u do that. And theres a guitar i like that, its not loud and too quiet thats perfect lol. And OMFG Ik you told me that u would do vocals for your songs but i never heard ur voice and holy shit u can sing! I would loved to hear some vibrato in words like "fading out, fading in" it would be so cool although it already is now. The staccato strings at 0:48 is awesome!I like the distorion of the pluck at 1:28, I never thought that distorting a pluck would sound good lol, might try that. A tiny complaint: at 1:34 the vocals are a bit too dry and don't really shine out. I would probably sing it an octave higher just to boost the drop. Ok now the drop. Damn it sounds epic af, I like the use of the saws! The melody is repetitive but catchy. However, I might vary the drum patterns a bit more. Also, the toms are a bit too loud in the 4hkz-10khz frequency, that makes them kinda sound like in a phonecall or shit you know. At 1:52 fuck, theres some sort of high pad that kicks in and it completly changed the allure of the drop and makes it even more epic. Idk how you maked the pad I tried to come up with something like that but never worked lol. And I love the transition from the drop to the outro with the pads being slightly distorted. Again, I never thought of distorting something thats meant to stay clean. And theres your trademark pad again, I can't tell which instruments are playing the plucked melody (harp?piano?pizzicato strings?or layered?). I have eargasms every time you use the dorian scale with the C# and I think ive already told you i fucking love dorian? And wtf you have the phrygian scale with the F natural at 3:12 it sounds as amazing! One complaint at the end though, at 3:20 when the low E on the piano was played, a lot of the high frequencies from the previous section was lost and I think u did it intentionally, but I might preferred just to leave the highs reverb. Its a small detail but yeah. Also something that I noticed, the song is in 60 or 120 bmp cuz the beat stayed consistent with the seconds mark on newgrounds lol!
Alright Ive been writing this for an hour and its time to conclude. I hope my review helped u and don't mind the way I write I write just like how I would speak to u lol and were friends right

3YEOfficial responds:

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, I really really appreciate all of this feedback! Thanks for pointing out some of the mix issues with like the toms and shit, I figured there was some issue there but couldn't really figure out what it was lol. And uhh yeah the pad in the drop (and similar pads) is actually really simple, (lol producer tip for anyone reading I guess) in this case it was a shakuhachi drowned out with reverb and with tube distortion cranked up. Works with like any pad, and it sounds especially good if the instrument is slightly detuned.

This shit is on a new fucking level! Wish it was 2-3min long
Do you use fl?

POSiTIV3 responds:

Ableton and Fl

This song can be a super good background music for relaxing stuff lol! I would wish that the end could seamlessly fuse with the beginning so that its loopable endlessly. But youre only 16 and I am sure that you can do some crazy things in the future!

RealBlargMaster responds:

Oh wow that is so wholesome, thank you so much :)

君は私の歌で日本語のコメントを書きした
So you commented in Japanese on my remix of Xtrullor's Arcana. Lol anyways I loved the chord pattern of the song(1632). But it gets a bit repetitive especially when the same pattern repeats through the whole song.
Also don't use compressor/limiter on EDM, as it is best used on pop and will sound kinda bad in electronic.
Love the birds
The snare could have more impact and leave a trail behind
Thats it!

FuzionTech responds:

yes I did..
I had hard time with lead so I repeat it. sorry if its very repetitive.
and this was a experiment.
thanks for reply.
