Ton kick et snare pourraient être plus forts, le reste est fucking bon!

Merci, après je me demande si ce commentaire est juste un mélange d'anglais et de français ou alors un fail de google traduction xD

I didn't make the song btw, I just mastered it (for those who are wondering)

perfect

Nice dubstep for an unscouted artist, better than most of them! Here are my comments:

Your song has a good structure, unlike many unscouted dubstep producers who are just jamming around with Serum and Massive. It has a nice melody and a good set of synths to produce those melodies. However, many things are yet to be done to make it a masterpiece. This song sounds a bit to empty, with not enough stuff going on. A good thing to do might be to give your arps a bit of reverb. It will drag it's release a bit and fill the empty spots. If you want to bring your song to the next level, I suggest putting a lot of sound effects and automate them. As for the drop, you should vary the arps a bit. It is always the same synths making the same melody over and over again. It might get people a bit bored. But considering that you are still a beginner, you have a big potential before you. Keep it up boy!

I wish I was this good when I was 14

thank you!!!

It was a long time since I reviewed your work, so lemme do it now...
Nice melody first, I had to drop that
There are definitely stuff that you can improve. I was listening it with shitty headphones cuz the good one is under repair. Hence I won’t be commenting on the mixing
Pros:
- Good melody, really melodic and heavenly
- Heavy drop
- Nice song structure
Cons:
- Do not overuse compression. Sometimes you have to use distortion as a way of mastering.
- The piano section is a bit too distorted, it should be a bit less loud.
- The sidechain isn’t obvious enough. It should really make your drums punchy.
- My biggest complaint is there are mediant minor chords followed immediately by tonic major chords. It sounds a bit off. The mediant minor chords sounds best followed by submediant chords (aka minor tonic) or supertonic major chords (aka dorian chords). My bad if this is too subjective but I’ll just throw it here.

Lastly, this has nothing to do with the score, I feel like this isn’t really riddim cuz the snares in the drop aren’t layered with kicks.

Yes, thank you very much, I love knowing that you liked it and receiving your advice helps me a lot, I hope to improve in the field of mixing 7u7

I need to take a break

Au5 Freefall sample pack!
But I would love to hear more of your own sounds!

Lubloom responds:

Yeah I love that pack, mostly for the drum loop from Emergence because it has the nicest cymbal pattern. I used 4 brief samples from emergence and the rest are my own

As an AU5 fan, I know Moonland and Return to Moonland very well. Your intro reminds me of Return to Moonland...
Epic second drop, I love it!

I see a lot Xtrullor in your song!
Let me just drop some comments:
The snare drum lacks a lot of mid frequency and the low mid peak. It makes the drum less punchy and overwhelming. Also, the non-drum parts of the song lacks mid frequency as well. It is a determinating part of the music, as the human ear hears pitch variations in the mid frequency the best. The volume difference between the drums and the melody is a bit too much; dont be afraid to make stuff loud! As long as you have high frenquencies to cover up the distortion its chill!
The rest of the song is pretty good!

PS: I would like the growls in the drop be super distorted, it will add a lot of epicness!
